This handcrafted mezcal is made from wild Cupreata agave, sourced from the mountainous slopes of the Río Balsas basin in the southern Mexican state of Guerrero. Known locally as Maguey Papalote, this rare agave grows at high altitudes where mineral-rich soils and wild conditions contribute to its distinctive character. With a maturation period of 7–15 years, the agave develops a natural sweetness and depth that defines this original and complex expression of Mezcal Machetazo.
