Anita NEVEU, the winemaker, has chosen to practice environmentally friendly viticulture. A return to soil tillage in recent years has proven to be a significant step. You’ll frequently see her wines scored in the upper 90s by critics in-the-know. Case in point - the 2022 vintage of her Moulin-à-Vent Cœur de Vigneronne received a fabled, perfect 100pt score from James Suckling.
Vinification: 20% whole-cluster fermentation and 80% destemed grapes. Daily punch-downs. 14-day maceration. Aging 11 months in barrels and 3 months in bottle.
Tasting notes:
Awards: 100 points James Suckling. This cuvée is a fascinating expression of Gamay. The wine has a deep color, and aromas of black fruits floral beautifully merge with mineral undertones and toasted notes from barrel aging. On the palate, it is rich, smooth, and silky.
